Civic Works’ annual volunteer event on MLK Day (January 21st, 2019) was postponed due to unusually cold and windy winter weather. For our rescheduled date of February 18th, 2019 (Presidents’ Day), we invite volunteers to join us for seven new volunteer projects, with opportunities to serve both indoors and out. At this event, we commemorate Dr. King’s message of giving back to others at the following sites:

  1. Second Chance warehouse (inside and outside, warehouse will be cold, 1700 Ridgely St, Baltimore, MD 21230)
  2. Seed Bursts (inside, 2701 St. Lo Dr.)
  3. Real Food Farm Compost Bin Construction (inside and outside, warehouse will be cold, 3501 Brehm’s Lane)
  4. Tool Repair (inside and outside,Hilltop House in Clifton Park)
  5. Loading Dock (inside and outside, warehouse will be cold, 2 N Kresson St, Baltimore, MD 21224)
  6. The Maryland Book Bank (inside and outside, warehouse will be cold, 1794 Union Ave, Baltimore, MD 21211)
  7. Make small repairs in seniors’ homes (contact Mike at to register for this placement).
