Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Monday, January 18th, 2021
9am – 12:00pm
(Rain or Shine)
Still Making a Difference…differently!
All small group/individual in-person sites are full.
Email if interested in being put on the wait-list.
Several virtual options are still available!
Each year, we respond to Martin Luther King’s challenge: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is What are you doing for others?”
Following the Phase 1 protocols, for now, we have signed up SMALL groups & individuals to work with our Community Lot Team, our Farm, do some painting in the basement of the mansion, and go to our partners, Community Toolbank, MD Book Bank, Second Chance, and Sharebaby. Unless the mayor changes the current restrictions, these will go on as planned.
We also have virtual options such as making bookmarks, blankets, cleaning our tools (we’ll deliver them to you!), and making cards for seniors and more!
There will be no large gathering…all will go directly to site or log on for virtual work and photos and social media will connect us all! Social Distancing will be followed on all sites.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept any more on-site volunteers. We can put you on a wait list. But there are plenty of virtual opportunities still available!
Contact Jayna Powell if interested in virtual opportunities or being put on a wait list: firstname.lastname@example.org
