Ricky Myers Day of Service

We bring together more than 200 volunteers on the first Saturday of October to complete projects in communities across Baltimore and honor Ricky Myers, a former Civic Works staff member who devoted his life to service.

Projects include community clean-ups, improving outdoor spaces, and helping nonprofit organizations like The Loading Dock, Second Chance and ShareBaby organize donated supplies.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

We celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through service and by working toward a more just and equitable society, where everyone is valued and respected, regardless of their race, ability, religion, or background. Civic Works brings together more than 200 volunteers on MLK Day every January to improve indoor and outdoor spaces in Baltimore.
