Who We Are

Civic Works is a Baltimore-based nonprofit that was founded in 1993. Our mission is to strengthen communities and promote equity for people of all ages through education, skills development and community service.

Our vision is for a Baltimore area where all residents have access to the educational and employment opportunities they need to support their families, all communities have green spaces and access to healthy food, and all families have homes that are safe, energy-efficient, and affordable.

Career Training

We prepare high school students for college and careers at the REACH! Partnership School and we train Baltimore residents for jobs in construction, utility infrastructure, solar installation and roofing at the Center for Sustainable Careers.

Sustainability, Food & Energy

We grow healthy food at Real Food Farm and deliver it to Baltimore residents. Our Energy Programs link families to energy services that make their homes more comfortable, affordable and energy efficient. Our Community Landscaping Program transform vacant lots into community green spaces. Our Clean Corps program cleans and maintains Baltimore City alleys, vacant lots and other public spaces.
