This energy-saving service is free to all residents of Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Harford County. Schedule a 30 minute visit at a time that’s convenient for you and our team will replace all inefficient light bulbs with LED light bulbs, provide an advanced power strip, reduce water usage through faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads, and insulate hot water pipes to prevent heat loss.
There are several benefits to a quick install: they reduce energy usage, which in turn reduces your monthly energy bills. They also reduce general resource consumption, which benefits the environment. To verify our impact, Civic Works recently completed an evaluation of our energy efficiency measures with a third-party company, The Cadmus Group. The evaluation showed that homes which received quick energy efficiency installs annually saved, on average, 38 therms of gas and 580 kWh of electricity.

- Step 1: Schedule a discussion with a Civic Works Energy Advisor. We will explain the process in detail and schedule a home energy assessment.
- Step 2: Complete a home energy assessment performed by a certified building analyst pre-screened and vetted by Civic Works.
- Step 3: Discuss the recommended services with your Energy Advisor. We will let you know what grants and rebates you qualify for. Most clients are eligible for FREE services. Otherwise, rebates cover at least 30-70% of the cost.
- Step 4: Complete the Home Energy Upgrades with your selected contractor to increase your home’s energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Your Energy Advisor will monitor progress and help you complete the process.
