Civic Works partners with Baltimore City and 20 neighborhoods to clean and maintain community-selected vacant lots, alleys, sidewalks, tree-pits and public trash cans. Clean Corps teams consist of previously unemployed or underemployed Baltimore City residents who live in the very communities they are cleaning. The program promotes clean culture and invests in our people.
Civic Works Clean Corps teams work in Coldstream Homestead Montebello, Darley Park, Four by Four, Druid Heights, Harlem Park, Penn-North, Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, East Baltimore Midway, Broadway East, Johnston Square, Madison-Eastend, Midtown-Edmondson, Milton-Montford, Mondawmin, Oliver, South Clifton Park, Auchentoroly-Parkwood, Glen, and Fallstaff.
Civic Works Clean Corps teams have removed 659.4 tons of trash from streets, alleys and vacant lots since 2023.
Clean Corps is a multi-agency project led by the Baltimore City Department of Planning. Civic Works is one of several nonprofit organizations in Baltimore operating Clean Corps programming.
